This policy applies to the rescheduling of:

  • Live online classes and seminars
  • Assessments, quizzes, and examinations
  • Project presentations and evaluations
  • Dissertation or capstone milestones
  • Thesis defenses and oral examinations
  • Internship timelines and applied learning deliverables
3. General Principles
  • Rescheduling requests must be submitted in writing and in advance, wherever possible.
  • Approval is subject to:
    • Academic feasibility
    • Faculty and examiner availability
    • Program-specific regulations
  • Rescheduling is not automatic and may involve additional fees.
  • Excessive or repeated rescheduling requests may be denied.
4. Class & Seminar Rescheduling

Live Online Classes / Workshops

  • Students may request rescheduling due to:
    • Medical emergencies
    • Unavoidable professional obligations
    • Technical issues verified by the University

Where recordings are available, rescheduling may not be approved and students may be directed to access the recorded session instead.

5. Examination & Assessment Rescheduling

Eligibility
Rescheduling of assessments may be considered if the request is supported by valid documentation, such as:

  • Medical certificates
  • Employer confirmation (for working professionals)
  • Verified technical failures

Fees

  • Standard programs: Rescheduling fee starting from $100
  • Advanced, doctoral, or executive programs: Fees may range up to $500

Failure to attend an assessment without prior approval may result in a zero score or failure, as per academic regulations.

6. Dissertation, Capstone & Defense Rescheduling

Due to the coordination involved with supervisors and evaluation committees:

  • Requests must be submitted at least 14 days in advance
  • Approval is subject to examiner availability
  • Rescheduling fees may apply:
    • Standard reschedule: $300
    • Second or late reschedule: Up to $600

Repeated rescheduling may delay graduation timelines.

7. Internship & Applied Learning Rescheduling For internship programs:
  • Rescheduling or timeline changes are subject to:
    • Industry mentor availability
    • Project partner approval
  • Once an internship placement or project allocation is confirmed:
    • Rescheduling may not be possible
    • Alternative timelines may be offered at the University’s discretion

Any associated costs may be borne by the student.

8. Rescheduling Limits

To ensure academic fairness and operational efficiency:

  • A maximum of two rescheduling requests per academic term is generally permitted
  • Additional requests may be denied or require special approval
9. Non-Reschedulable Activities

The following activities are typically not eligible for rescheduling:

  • Missed assessments without prior approval
  • Recorded sessions made available asynchronously
  • Administrative deadlines (unless approved under special circumstances)
10. Special Circumstances

In cases of:

  • Medical emergenciess
  • Force majeure events
  • Legal or immigration constraints
  • The University may review requests on a case-by-case basis. Supporting documentation is mandatory. Approval is not guaranteed.

Students are responsible for understanding the academic implications before submitting a request.
